About the project.

This project involves developing a run-of-the-river hydropower project on the river Satluj in Himachal Pradesh. The primary aim is to alleviate the acute electricity shortage in the Northern Region of India. Project activity will provide the regional grid with 4463 GWh per year, reducing dependence on fossil fuel-fired power plants to supply the grid. Prior to the start of the project activity the existing demand in the Northern Region Grid was met through its existing fossil fuel based (coal, gas and diesel), nuclear, hydro and renewable energy based power plants

Let’s limit global warming. Together.
